Instructions for writing papers

Introductory notes:

Please submit your article in Word format only.
You must submit two (2) Word files:
1) The first file should include the title, the names and affiliations of all authors, the abstract, keywords, and then the complete paper. When saving your file, name it in the following format: “Code,” for example, “C005.”
2) The second file (anonymized) should include all of the above except for the authors’ names and affiliations. When saving your second file, name it in the following format: “Code-Anonym,” for example, “C005-Anonym.”

The file should be based on the IAKE color template. (Download the Template File Here)
The paper may be written in Greek or English (provided that the title and authors’ names are also in English).

Paper size:
The entire text of each announcement must not be less than 2,500 and more than 6,000 words in total, i.e. including the abstract, any graphics or tables, and the bibliography (which refers exclusively to the bibliographical references contained within the specific work). Please adhere strictly to these limits.

For any necessary clarification on formatting issues, please contact info@iake.gr.

Instructions for formatting your paper using the template:

1. The title of the paper must be written in capital letters, using Times New Roman font and font size 14. The text and the titles of sections and subsections must be written in Times New Roman font and font size 12.
We never use capital letters in headings (except for the title of the paper).

2. It is particularly important and helpful to use the “quick styles” that are built into the template.
In this way, by selecting the corresponding text and then the style (e.g., “Bibliography” “Caption,” “Bullet,” etc.), the selected text is automatically and correctly converted into a bibliographic reference, bullet list, image caption, figure caption, etc., without formatting errors. For example, in image captions and in the images themselves, the “Caption” style should be used, which automatically centers them and adjusts the spacing above and below them.
Each style has a different color so that any differences are easily visible.
The conversion of the texts of the papers to black will be done later by IAKE.

3. We do not add a table of contents, page numbers, or footnotes at the bottom of the page or at the end of the paper. If any of these are present, they are deleted before final formatting in order to compile the proceedings volume.

4. We do not add page or section breaks, as the work in the proceedings volume may not start at the top of the page, which could create gaps or other problems.

5. Great care must be taken to number the chapters and subchapters correctly.

6. Tables, diagrams, and figures should be numbered consecutively.

7. Lists should be written with bullet points or numbers, not letters.

8. Word abbreviations should be avoided (e.g., write “education” rather than “ed.”).

9. Tables, diagrams, and images should fit within the width of the page, be aligned with the text, and the text should wrap around them (Figure 1).

10. Small images can be placed side by side, but only within a table.

11. Table and diagram titles should be centered.

12. The Bibliography should be divided into Greek and foreign language sources and should correspond to the references found in the text.

13. Creative Commons licenses must be followed and photographs of children or, in general, elements containing personal data must not be used.
